Did you know that NBA ref and MLB ump are the highes paid officials?

Did you know that:

NBA refs and MLB umps are the highest paid paid ref making between 100K-300K a year?

NFL officials are on the low end of the pay scale at 25K - 75K a year. but not is not bad change for a part time job. 16 games a year, a one week break in between, and all three get other perks as well. College officials make from about $100 a game up to about $1000 a game, with travel and expenses.

Being paid these amounts is meant to eliminate biases and to call a fair and even game. While this is true 99.9% of the time, there have been exceptions. Most officials just enjoy the competition, the exercise, and yes the pay. Very few go in with a big S on their chest and want the spotlight on them. Some people the ref encountered officiated at little league levels and mentioned they have done it a few times to fill in or just tried it to see if they could hack it. All agreed that their calls can make or break a game.

Did you know who had a divorce settlement for $460 million?

Did you know who has received three of the most Expensive Divorce Settlements ?

Number 1

Rupert & Anna Murdoch -- $1.7 billion

One of the richest men in the world, Rupert Murdoch developed his worldwide media empire when he inherited his father's Australian newspaper in 1952. He married Anna Murdoch in the '60s and they remained together for 32 years, springing off three children.

They split amicably in 1998 but soon Rupert forced Anna off the board of News Corp and the gloves came off. The divorce was finalized in June 1999 when Rupert agreed to let his ex-wife leave with $1.7 billion worth of his assets, $110 million of it in cash. Seventeen days later, Rupert married Wendi Deng, one of his employees.

Number 2

Adnan & Soraya Khashoggi -- $874 million

Adnan Khashoggi is a Saudi businessman who made his money as an international arms dealer for the Saudi royal family. He then launched his company Triad, based in Switzerland, owning banks, hotels and real estate all over the world.

In 1986, his fortune was estimated at $4 billion but a decade later it was estimated that he had lost most of it due to dwindling oil prices. He married Soraya in 1961 and their jet-setting lifestyle favored a string of adulterous lovers for both of them. Their 1982 divorce netted her an estimated $874 million in an out-of-court settlement, although numbers vary according to sources.

Number 3

Craig & Wendy McCaw -- (more than) $460 million

Craig McCaw got steady on his feet by turning a failing television cable service he had inherited from his father into a successful business, eventually selling for $755 million. In 1981, he proved to be a visionary by acquiring cellular phone licenses. He eventually sold his company to AT&T for approximately $12 billion, becoming the telecommunications giant's largest single shareholder.

McCaw met Wendy when she tutored him at Stanford University and they married in 1974. In 1995, divorce proceedings were initiated and Wendy wanted her share to support her nearly $200,000/month lifestyle. She ultimately walked away with $460 million, mostly all in Nextel stock.

Did you know that Lexington Steele is the only actor to win 3 AVN Award?

Did you know what a AVN Award is?

The AVN Awards are movie awards sponsored and presented by the American adult video industry trade magazine AVN (Adult Video News) to honor exceptional performance in various aspects of the creation and marketing of American pornographic movies. They are called the "Oscars of porn".[1][2][3] The AVN Awards comprise nearly 100 categories, some of which are analogous to industry awards offered in other film and video genres, and others that are specific to pornographic/erotic film and video.

AVN sponsored the first AVN Awards ceremony in February 1984. The award ceremony occurs in early January during the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2008 AVN Awards were scheduled to air on Showtime on March 14, 2008 at 12am ET/PT [4].

Awards for gay adult video were a part of the AVN awards from the 1986 ceremony through the 1998 ceremony. The increasing number of categories made the show unwieldy and for the 1999 ceremony AVN Magazine began hosting the GayVN Awards, an annual adult movie award event for gay adult video.

In order to be eligible for a given year's AVN Awards, a title must have been released between October 1 of two years before and September 30 of one year before, and it must be available either from at least 10 wholesale or at least 100 retail outlets by the deadline of September 30 of the preceding year.

Did you know that the AVN Award's name is Woody? There are many award categories, which are as follows: Note: "Film" and "Video" refer to the medium on which the title was produced; all of the titles are direct-to-video releases.

Did you know that Lexington Steele is the only actor to have won the AVN Male Performer of the Year Award three times?
