Did you know that you can not file Bankruptcy on Child support payments?

Did you know that Bankruptcy filings are public records? A Bankruptcy will fall off your credit after 10 years.

Did you know that you can file Bankruptcy on school loans?

You must prove that repaying the loan creates an undue hardship on you or your family.

Proving hardship usually requires showing that you can't provide a minimum standard of living for yourself and your dependents if you have to repay the loan. Some courts will discharge part of the loan on a showing that repaying it all would be a hardship.

There are certain debts which cannot be discharged by filing a bankruptcy. These include:

  • Alimony
  • Child support
  • Large purchases
  • Government penalty

Did you know that you can file Bankruptcy again if it has been more than 8 years since he or she filed the previous bankruptcy?
