Did you know that :
Only humans sleep on their backs.
The human brain is 80% water.
Everyone's tongue print is different.
As an adult, you have more than 20 square feet of skin on your body--about the same square footage as a blanket for a queen-sized bed.
In your lifetime, you'll shed over 40 pounds of skin.

Did you know Some US cities drop criminal-history question from job applications?
Hoping to prevent convicts from being shut out of the work force, some major U.S. cities are eliminating questions from their job applications that ask whether prospective employees have ever been convicted of a crime.
Most of the cities still conduct background checks after making conditional job offers, but proponents say the new approach will help more convicts find work and reduce the likelihood they will commit new crimes.
"This makes sense in terms of reducing violence. The amount of recidivism — committing crimes again — in this population is dramatic, and it has taken a toll on this community," said John DeStefano, mayor of New Haven, where officials recently proposed a so-called "ban the box" ordinance that drops the criminal-history question from job applications.
Similar measures have been adopted in recent years in Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Baltimore, San Francisco, Oakland, Calif., and Norwich, Conn. Los Angeles and other cities are considering doing so. more

Did you know these are the best-selling music artists in the United States
This is the list of the best-selling music artists in the United States only as of December 2008 and based on certifications of albums by the RIAA1. The list therefore excludes large selling artists like Bing Crosby whose sales in the 30s-50s was not certifiable as RIAA began in 1952. Also artists such as Frank Sinatra, who although they were successful after 1952, were also best-selling prior to 1952. Therefore their positions in the chart reflect certifications from 1952 onwards.
The source for the information on total sales was taken from the RIAA 'Top Artists' web page.
A "U.S. studio album" is defined here as an album:

Did you know that sister and brother were Reunited 43 years later
A man hadn’t seen his long-lost sister for 43 years… or so he thought.
Ken Whitty had lost touch with Yvonne but, incredibly, they were only living 300 yards apart in neighbouring streets.
Ken, 64, said: “I’ve walked past her house lots of times and I’ve even seen her in the garden.
“I have walked past her in the street and never realised it was my sister.”
Yvonne, 62, and Ken’s parents died when they were children and the youngsters were placed in the care of a family friend.
They lost touch with each other when Ken left home aged 21.
He said: “I often wondered what had happened to our kid. I’ve tried lots of different things to find her over the years and it all came to nothing.
“I thought we would eventually get back in touch, but time went by and it never happened.”
So at Christmas Ken decided to put an ad in a local newspaper.
He explained: “I thought, ‘It’s Christmas, I’m 65 next year and I’ve got to do something.’ I just had to do it this year. more

Did you Know
Did you know that the average human brain contains approximately 86 billion neurons? These remarkable cells form intricate networks, allowing us to think, feel, and experience the world around us. Each neuron communicates with others through electrical impulses, creating a symphony of thoughts, memories, and emotions. So next time you ponder life’s mysteries, remember that your brain is orchestrating a cosmic dance of neurons!
